It all comes down to the run. You can swim, then bike, but you are not finished until you are done running.

With over 220 miles of trails, there a many options for quality run workouts in the Woodlands Area.

Weekly Long Runs

Trail Runs: Susie Schreiber usually gathers a group together every Saturday morning (so as not to conflict with the long run Sunday group.) Her weekly reminder e-mail that announces the meeting location and time and where the group will usually goes out on Thursday evenings or during the day on Fridays. Most weeks, the group gathers at the Exxon station on Greenbridge & 242 to run at Jones State Park. To get on Susie’s trail runners e-mail list, please contact her at susieschreiber@lukeslocker.com

The Woodlands Running Club meet at various Starbuck's locations throughout the Woodlands at 6:45 am on Sunday's. Check the Lonestar Multisport weekly E-News for starting location and run distances.

TWRC grew out of Coach Dan Green's "Woodlands Track Club." This was a group of people of many fitness levels that have come together for a coached track workout every Wednesday night since 1988. These workouts began at the original McCullough High School and then moved to its current location at The Woodlands High School. This program steadily grew over the years due to Dan's coaching abilities, the ever-increasing popularity of running, and because of the strong growth in population of The Woodlands area.

Coach Green and a number of active runners, all leaders in the community, felt that it was time for The Woodlands to have its own identity in the greater running of communities of Houston, of Texas, of the U.S.A., and internationally.

To this end, TWRC was founded on 22 March 2006.
